I spent this week colouring six pages of this story, involving digital colouring and some acrylic tones mixed together.

STAR JAWS #37 - MOUNT A RESCUE pull out section

The new issue of Star Jaws is out now from Barnstormer Comics.

Inside is work from Robin Barnard, Martin Hand, and Paul B. Rainey.

In the middle is a "Star Jaws previews pull-out" dedicated to Mount a Rescue.

It's great to see this! It reminds me of comics pull out sections Marvel UK used to do.

I snuck in a robot dog here, and introduced the look of the main character in the last panel.

The middle panel is painted with watered down black acrylics.

Here are the inks for the first page.

There's a lot of black as the first (large) panel is set in outer space. I'll use photoshop to fill that.

I'll also be inverting the wave lines and the subtitle.
