COMIC SCENE THE PODCAST Episode 8

I'm a guest on the latest episode of Comic Scene the Podcast.

In it I talk about The Incredible Hulk Annual 1980, and Soldier's Heart by Carol Tyler. The show was recorded just after I'd had the idea to put together my 1990s comic But a Dream!, so it's nice to have my initial burst of enthusiasm recorded.

NANDO: Creating Comics on the Comics MLitt course

I've started on the Comics and Graphic Novels Mlitt course at the University of Dundee recently and one of the modules I'm working on is “Creating Comics” with Phillip Vaughan.

As part of the module, I'm required to keep a blog detailing the creation of a new 8-12 page story, due to be finished in December.

Anyone interested in how I do comics should give this a read, as although I always give a brief bit of background in my comic books, this will be more detailed than those.

So far I have written up the "pre-creation" thinking to my story and published the first two layout pages.

I'm just back from the launch event for Chris Murray, Norrie Millar and Philip Vaughan's new comic book, "Mary Shelley's Dundee".

I did a new comic story and read it to the audience as part of the evening.
