STAR TREK THE MOTION PICTURE Memory Wall
Merry Christmas to me.
I couldn't resist this new book about the movie.
For decades I've been intrigued by the following "memory wall" sequence in the comic book adaptation by Marv Wolfman, Dave Cockrum, and Klaus Janson. It wasn't in the movie.

THAT COMIC SMELL: Christmas Do! (Our Best Reads of 2020)
The new episode is online now, celebrating Christmas and discussing our fave reads of the year.
From the website:
"HO! HO! HO!
Get ready because not even distance can stop the TCS crew from having their Christmas party and catch up.
We delve into what we have been reading this year and what we would consider out favourites of 2020. There is also a bit of general chatter as always but we mainly stick to the comics this time surprisingly.
It’s been a funny old year and we even had a bit of a break near the tail end of it to recharge and bank some more episodes. We have had to adapt to the new way of doing the show but we have plowed on and continued to enjoy talking comics and having you all listen. So thank you. A very Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year.
Cheers!

THAT COMIC SMELL 23: Glenrothes Con Swag
The new episode of That Comic Smell is now online.
After the Glenrothes comicon, we looked over our hauls in a restaurant.
Have a listen at iTunes, Soundcloud and YouTube.
From the website:
"The great LL Cool J once said "Don't call it a come back!" and you you really shouldn't, we've only been away a couple of months.
We are back folks and we are back with a brand new plan of attack... Did we say attack? We meant Theme song. Yes, the incredible "Chartsmasher" AKA. @JoanEdam with his track "Dial Up" is the official theme of That Comic Smell Podcast and we could not be happier about it.
This is just a short episode to ease y'all back into the swing of things around here and we will be bi-weekly from there on out.
David, Mike and Tom all went to the magnificent Glenrothes Comic Con and afterwards took a trip to Edinburgh in search of some comics gold! During lunch the boys unveiled their swag from the day.
So join us on our dinner date after a full day of comics."

BEAM ME UP, SCOTTY...
Instead of a comic based in Scotland, this time it’s a famous Scot. The world’s finest science fiction chief engineer is Montgomery Scott in Star Trek, also known as “Scotty”.
